Fellowship Time

Posted Sep 21, 2018 by Kandy Noles Stevens

We are so blessed to have such a robust fellowship time each Sunday morning. This is due in large part to our love for one another and the willingness of the bakers among us who share treats each week. A fun memory from childhood was how Cookie Monster always chomped down the cookies, and we are hoping that a few more bakers would be willing and/or able to sign up for more fellowship treats for Sunday mornings. I cannot promise that we will eat with as much gusto as Cookie Monster, but we will all enjoy them for sure! Thanks for all you do to love others!

Meals for the Knopp Family

Posted Jul 30, 2018 by Kandy Noles Stevens

Today we are reminded of how incredibly powerful Psalm 139:13-18 truly is as we marvel at little Jacob Knopp, who was born at 30.5 weeks. God intricately wove him together in the womb and now as he is continuing to grow in the care of the NICU. We are thankful that we have the opportunity watch God's hands at work, including that which was done before he took his first breath. We are comforted by the fact that God has a plan for the Knopp family, especially their tiniest and newest member. We also celebrate that we as their church family have the opportunity to stand in the gap of filling their stomachs with comforting nourishment while they log the miles between home and the hospital. We will be providing meal support in this time of extra care. If you are able, please sign up to bless the family with meals and encouragement. What you need to know: * Prepare meals for 5 people. * Deliver meals between 5 and 6 PM at 506 Kathryn Ave. * Please make meals that can be refrigerated and the family can warm up on their own on their time schedule. * Please pray for the family as they raise their boys at home and at the hospital. * Pray for Grandma Sharon and Grandpa Glenn as they provide additional support as well.

Chad and Julie Mohr are new attenders to our church, and they recently plugged in by serving at the UnSale. As I am typing this, Julie is having surgery on her arm, hand, and finger which will require a lengthy recuperation period. They live in the Balaton area. We are hoping for a few to make some freezer meals (or ready to serve meals) and bring them to the church on Sunday to bless the Mohr's following her surgery. Thank you for all the ways you love others in our church body!

Good morning church - On December 10, there will be a nativity service for our international students. Pastor Jacob has asked for help with Christmas goodies (cookies) for their service. There are five slots for two dozen cookies each making a total of 10 dozen needed. If you enjoy baking, please consider signing up to bless their nativity gathering. Treats for CRU & Bridges

Posted Oct 26, 2017 by Kandy Noles Stevens

Life in college is sometimes challenging. Sometimes home cooked comfort is just thing to brighten the week of a college student (especially those far from home). Each week there are approximately 40 students who attend CRU and 35 at Bridges. Thank you for blessing these students and these ministries by signing up to make treats! If you sign up for this blessing, please bring the treats to church Monday by noon.

Updated Meal Train

Posted Oct 25, 2017 by Kandy Noles Stevens

Thank you so much for joining our church's meal train for meals and acts of service. We have two additional needs that have been added to the calendar. Erik Anderson is busy with harvest. Meal help would be greatly appreciated as they are completing their first harvest without Merrilee. Meals can be taken to the church and placed in the fridge or freezer or can be delivered directly to their home (1775 Highway 59, Cottonwood). An urgent request for raking leaves and removing leaves from the gutters before the snow flies is also added to the calendar for Karla Adams. If you are able to help the family, please provide your own rakes and bags. Thank you for being a family who loves by serving others! The Deaconesses
