The kitchen will be open for volunteers at 5:30 PM. You will need to provide enough food for at least 45-50 men. Please check the calendar a few days prior to your scheduled day to see if number has increased. Sometimes more than 50 are served and they usually want seconds. *Dinner will be served from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM. (Men will leave at 7:00 PM to go to their sleeping quarters) *Items Provided by Volunteers include: meal, drinks, condiments,paper products & utensils *Please feel free to use any kitchen appliances, utensils, etc. Please clean up and replace after use. *A volunteer sign in sheet is located in the kitchen and should be signed by each volunteer. Anyone under the age of 18 who is accompanying family groups must be directly supervised and parents are required to read the volunteer waiver upon arrival at the shelter. NO YOUTH OR CHILDREN'S GROUPS ARE ALLOWED TO SERVE *Volunteers are encouraged to pray and fellowship with the guests. *Recycling containers are available. Trash is to be taken out to church dumpsters. *Please wipe down tables and counters *TO GO BOXES ARE NOT PERMITTED. MEN ARE NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE FOOD IN THE ROOMS. * Please do not leave leftovers from your meal. You may leave cold drinks and/or condiments in the refrigerator marked "Warming Center Fridge at the back of the gym. You may leave any leftover plates, utensils, cups, etc. in cabinet marked "Warming Center" located in the kitchen. *If you plan to bring snack items for the men, please bag them and leave on kitchen island. Let guard know they are there so he can distribute them the following morning. (Snack bags are an option, not a requirement.) **PLEASE revisit site after serving meal to ADD NUMBER OF MEN SERVED. This is very helpful to others as they plan their meals. *Ice maker is located in hallway behind kitchen near volunteer restrooms.
