A big thank you to all who have signed up to serve and provide food for Hope Cottage on January 12! There are still items needed so its not too late to sign up to minister to the women, children and staff at Hope Cottage. If you have questions please feel free to contact me, Susan at sclow1958@gmail.com or Paul at psmallmeadow@gmail.com You have been invited to help with the Hope Cottage Meal and Chapel Ministry on the 2nd Monday! You are a huge blessing to this ministry through your prayers, donations, teaching, worship and service. We will be having a pasta feast this month. See below for details and sign ups. If you are providing food or serving food, please be sure to have the food and/or yourselves there by 5:30 pm. Dinner is served promptly at 6pm, therefore, we need to be sure we are all ready at 5:30 pm with our team and supplies. If you need to use the kitchen, you are welcome to do so and can come early to do that. PLEASE LABEL DISHES WITH YOUR NAME AND THEY WILL BE RETURNED TO THE CHURCH BY SUNDAY MORNING. When you arrive, wash hands in the hand washing sink and wear provided gloves if you are serving or cooking food **All who have hair of ANY length, will need to put it in a hair net(provided) or in a hat. In addition, feel free to eat, talk and pray with the residents in the dining room, PLEASE DO NOT EAT in the kitchen as that is against their health codes. Men and women over 14 can serve food, pray with the residents, eating with the residents and getting to know them in the name of Jesus Christ. Children can put chairs around the tables, pray, eat and get to know the residents. We will be needed for putting away food, but not for dishes, as they take pride in their chores.
CHAPEL TIME: If you are volunteering for Chapel Time, be sure to arrive by 6:55PM. Chapel Time Speaker: This person(s) will have about 30 minutes to share. They do not need to be a pastor, elder or leader in our church or have a background in public speaking. This is an intimate setting where you will have about 20 ladies listening to whatever God places on your hearts. Ideas include sharing their testimony, how God brought you through a difficult time, a lesson from a chapter in the bible, an artistic way to express their faith, unique ways to pray, how a family survived a tragedy, the ideas are endless! Chapel Time Worship Leader: Paul Littlefield has taken on this ministry. If however this is something you feel you want to participate in, contact him at: psmallmeadow@gmail.com Chapel Time Prayer Leader: This is a sweet need. This person opens the chapel time in prayer and closes it in prayer. In addition, this person sticks around and invites the women to come up to them after chapel time for specific prayers. You get to learn more about their needs and some women have come to accept Jesus into their hearts.
