Thank you to all the volunteers that participated in our October Nomadic Shelter, we successfully served 20 grateful guests in our first month. The rain and cold is official with us, so let us prepare a warm and inviting setting for our November guests. We will continue to serve as a host church for the 4th Tuesday of each month through April 2023. Our format will remain the same as prior years and include welcoming our guests with loving hearts, friendly conversations, a hot meal, musical entertainment (thank you John for sharing your talents) , fun activities, and a warm place to bed down for the night. Please know that our guest are very appreciative of the loving care that you all provide so generously. For our Tuesday, November 22nd hosting evening we will provide marinated pork loin, macaroni & cheese, green bean casserole, apple sauce, salad, fresh fruit, and brownies/cookies for dessert. We will plan on having food for 40 people and ask that the team supply this "potluck" dinner. Besides providing food, volunteers are needed to host our guests, serve the food and beverages to the guests, and help with clean-up. We respectfully request that ALL volunteers sign up through the Meal Train platform rather than just showing up. Schedule: 5:15 Table and chairs setup, table decorating, food prep begins 5:40 Prepared food delivered to kitchen 5:45 Hospitality orientation by the hospitality leaders. 6:00 - 6:15 Guests arrive 6:15 - 7:30 Music Time 6:15 - 6:30 Dinner service begins, starting with the guests. 7:30 Activities 7:30 Cleanup begins.
