About this Meal Train page
In August, the Oywech family received some news that no family should ever have to hear- your child has leukemia. Asa, the oldest of the Oywech's 4 children has been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Asa is the most down to earth, kind-hearted and strong kid- he is the ultimate warrior. In fact, he is so selfless that when thinking about whether he would participate in a clinical trial, his response was, "I think I should be part of this trial, because even if I don't benefit, this research will be important for the next kid that gets this diagnosis." As the family works together to support Asa and the treatments that are necessary for him to undergo, we are organizing this meal train in order to help support the family. These daily meals will further assist his parents in taking care of themselves and their kids while ensuring they are able to care for Asa and his needs. Anything you can offer in terms of support is truly appreciated.
