The Lamb Family

About this Meal Train page

Lamb family story——On May 28, 2021 Parker went in for, what we thought was, a routine surgery to remove a blocked saliva duct in his tongue. However, during surgery it was discovered that he did not have a blocked salvia duct but a large mass in his tongue. The mass was sent off for biopsy to the Cleveland Clinic. After waiting almost 6 weeks for an official diagnosis, we received the devastating news that the mass was malignant: Ewing Sarcoma. Ewing Sarcoma is typically found in the bone and in children over the age of 10. Although what he has is very rare, thank God it is treatable. After we went for a second opinion at Lurie’s Children’s Hospital in Chicago we knew that was the best place for him to receive his treatment. Dr. Walterhouse is his primary oncologist and we feel confident he has the best soft tissue sarcoma team in the entire Midwest. Parker will go through approximately 36 weeks of chemotherapy with treatment beginning sometime the week of 7/26. Thank you for all for your love and support. Our guy still has a lot to give to the world, and he’s ready to kick cancer’s butt 💙
