Dear Volunteers, We need a few volunteer cooks and sandwich makers for the last week of March and we have a few tiny requests left for Easter Sunday! 🐣 🐇 You just cook in your own kitchen and drop it off at the center at 1p! Having our volunteer meal requests filled for a week or two in advance really takes some stress off of Pat and allows her to spend more time addressing the multiple, pressing daily needs of the guests! We received some donations of bulk ingredients for anyone willing to cook! We have rice, beans, pasta, giant cans of tuna ... and SO much more ready to be picked up! Please choose a day in this link and then stop by the center to pick up supplies from 12n - 3p on Tuesdays - Sundays (Closed Mondays)! www.mealtrain.com/trains/1o1d0q If you wish you could volunteer but just don't have the time right now, you can help by sharing this post from our FB page ( www.facebook.com/Brians.Angels.Bristol ), donating cash, or you can donate bulk ingredients and other needed items through our Amazon Wish List here: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2HWU1OOOVM3NF/ref=nav_wishlist_lists_2 If anyone knows of a larger location, please contact Pat! She has gone from trying to help 20 people per day to more than 60 per day in just the last few years! Direct donate here: www.BriansAngels.org/how-you-can-help Thank you so much to the 334 individuals/groups who have volunteered for the center through the MealTrain app so far!!! Franci (posting for Pat) PS - Sorry ... MealTrain does not allow us to put web links in these messages. You'll have to copy and paste the links to your browser.

Hello Volunteers! The January calendar is up for those who like to plan ahead. There are still volunteers needed for December. This Sunday, 12/11/22, we will be closed because we have our big concert fundraiser at Bleachers! See attached image for details. The center has gone from trying to feed a hot lunch to 30 people per day to almost 60 people every day! Any and all help is greatly appreciated! Please try to team up with a friend, business or another family to help fill the ever growing needs. Pat is also looking for a person or group willing to do a Christmas Day hot lunch for the center. Many folks have already volunteered for the side dishes. We just need someone willing to do a couple of hams or turkeys and bring them at 1p on Christmas Day! Fill your heart with the LOVE of the season by volunteering! We could also use some donations of the giant 117 oz. cans of beans to have on hand to stretch hot lunches when we are short on food. Ask Santa to drop some off please! If you don't have time to cook or make sandwiches, please take a look at the Amazon Wish List and send whatever you can. The link is on the Facebook page. Many hands make light work! With much appreciation, Franci ~ posting for Pat .

Hello Volunteers & Community Friends, Please keep Pat Stebbins in your heart. She lost her sister last week. On top of that stress, Pat is worrying about filling the daily meal needs for the center where the demand has more than doubled in the last few months! Let's all pitch in and ease her mind! Can your business, church, family or community group pitch in for a group activity of cooking or making sandwiches? All efforts would be greatly appreciated! Scroll through the calendar and see which day would work best for you! Here are the days we have openings: https://www.MealTrain.com/trains/1o1d0q You don't need to sign up on MealTrain in order to stop by on any day and drop off the things that are always needed like: Fresh Fruit Tuna “envelopes” String Cheese Yogurt Fruit Cups Pudding Cups Pop Tarts Juice Mix (iced tea, lemonade) Powdered Coffee Creamer Hard boiled eggs Lunch Meats Cheese Pickles Bread Potato Chips $5 or $10 gift cards to local restaurants If each volunteer could help find just one new volunteer, that would be a huge help! Many hands make light work! If you just don't have time to do any of these things, please consider forwarding this email to your friends and family or make a monetary donation to cover the cost of hot meals purchased from local restaurants on the days we do not have meal donations: https://BriansAngels.org/donate Or, see some supply ideas on our Amazon Wish List here: https://smile.Amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2HWU1OOOVM3NF/ref=nav_wishlist_lists_2 Every volunteer, whether we see you once a week or once a year, is so important to the continuing work of this center and the community! THANK YOU for all that you have already done! With great appreciation, Franci ~ (posting for Pat)

Hello Volunteers & Community Friends, This August heat has been pretty miserable for everyone! We continue to invite folks inside to cool off six days a week! We have been struggling to fill the meal and sandwich requests this month while so many people are away on vacations. There are some donated bulk food supplies at the center for our chefs who are willing to cook over the next couple of weeks. Do you have excess garden produce that you could make into salads or a hot rice/veggie dish? Do you need a great project to do with the kids before they head back to school? Can your business, church or community group pitch in for a group activity of cooking or making sandwiches? All efforts would be greatly appreciated! Scroll through the calendar and see which day would work best for you! Here are the days we have openings: https://www.MealTrain.com/trains/1o1d0q You don't need to sign up on MealTrain in order to stop by on any day and drop off the things that are always needed like: Fresh Fruit Tuna “envelopes” String Cheese Yogurt Fruit Cups Pudding Cups Pop Tarts Juice Mix (iced tea, lemonade) Powdered Coffee Creamer Hard boiled eggs Lunch Meats American Cheese Pickles Bread Potato Chips $5 or $10 gift cards to local restaurants Just over 200 people have volunteered through the MealTrain app in the year since we started using it. If each volunteer could help find just one new volunteer, that would be a huge help! Many hands make light work! If you just don't have time to do any of these things, please consider forwarding this email to your friends and family or make a monetary donation to cover the cost of our MealTrain app and/or the hot meals purchased from local restaurants on the days we do not have meal donations: https://BriansAngels.org/donate Or, see some supply ideas on our Amazon Wish List here: https://smile.Amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2HWU1OOOVM3NF/ref=nav_wishlist_lists_2 Every volunteer, whether we see you once a week or once a year, is so important to the continuing work of this center and the community! Brian’s Angels Hot Meals When Brians Angels first started to do hot foods, all of Bristol‘s soup kitchens had closed due to Covid. The people of Bristol stepped up, and we have been getting hot meals to people 6 days per week, thanks to the residents of Bristol! Zion has now opened on Mondays, but in order to continue feeding people a hot meal, Brian’s Angels still needs hot food 6 days per week. If you can help, please let me know❣️ We have many openings left in May. If we are unable to fill these days, we will have to go back to sandwiches for lunch and sandwiches to go! Please help until soup kitchens can fully open!! Sincerely, Pat Stebbins

Dear Volunteers, We have this donation of industrial sized ingredients to share among the people who are signed up to cook over the next few weeks. You can use these as your main dish ingredients or just to heat up an easy extra side! A description of each of the items is with each photo on the FB page: www.facebook.com/Brians.Angels.Bristol Pat does not have room to store the whole donation so we will give them out in small chunks like this every week. You can either pick them up at the Center in Bristol after 2/13 or at the storage location in Harwinton (on the Harwinton/Burlington town line). Everything is in Harwinton right now. Let us know before 10am this Sunday what we should bring to Bristol. Just let us know which ones you can use, where you want to pick up and we'll bag them up and put your name on them. If picking up in Bristol, please do so as quickly as possible after 2/13 because there is not an inch of space to spare there! Every hot lunch request for February has been filled!!! Thank You! We are now working on the March schedule. If you are not already one of the volunteer chefs who cook for the Outreach Center, you can sign up here: www.mealtrain.com/Brian Thank you for your ongoing efforts. Please share this with potential new volunteers! (Franci ~ posting for Pat) .

I just picked up 100 lbs of hamburger donated by Pepin family farm in Goshen. Please let me know if you want to pick some 1 lb packages up to help prepare meals for Brian’s Angels. We can also provide other materials to help with the cost of making these meals. Please let your friends and family know that we can supply these things also. Thank you everyone for keeping the hungry people in Bristol fed!
