About this Meal Train
In mid-December, 2019, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, specifically, Ductal Carcinoma In-Sutu (DCIS), Stage 0, in my left breast. This cancer is described as a non-invasive condition in which abnormal cells are found in the lining of a breast duct. The abnormal cells have not spread outside the duct to other tissues in the breast. This was discovered following my regularly scheduled 3D annual mammogram the preceding November. Thankfully, I caught it early! I will have a bilateral mastectomy on Mar 12, 2020 at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP). As a result, my arm movement will be limited to 45 degrees for about 6 weeks. This will impact my ability to do many things around the house, to include cooking. If you are willing, perhaps providing a meal or two and/or a ride to/from a needed errand as your time permits would be helpful.
