About this Meal Train

**UPDATE: Kinwell Academy will not be meeting in person for the rest of the 2019-2020 school year, so we have cleared out our meal calendar. We hope to be able to administer the 2020-2021 school year in person (not sure about that yet!), and if we are able to do that, we will re-open our meal calendar. Thanks to all of you who so generously provided food to our students this year! We are grateful for you!** Thank you for being willing to feed the students of Kinwell Academy! We are an alternative high school in Marion seeking to serve students who need a fresh start and a supportive environment. We focus on holistic education that targets a student's emotional, spiritual, and academic needs. Check out a video to learn more! We are hoping to provide nutritious meals for our students with the help of the local community. Many of our students struggle with a lack of access to consistent and nutritious meals. When people have provided food for our students in the past, we have seen numerous positive effects: students are more excited about being at school, students are more emotionally stable, and students are better able to concentrate on their academic work. If you are interested in bringing a meal for our students, thank you! Here are some specific details to help you: -You can bring breakfast OR lunch, whichever you prefer! -We have about 30 students. -Breakfast drop off can be between 8:30 - 9 am. -Lunch drop off can be between 11:30 am - 12 pm (or any other time that works for you!). -We have a crockpot, a microwave, and a big refrigerator. We are always in need of breakfast food -- instant oatmeal, bagels and cream cheese, fruit, yogurt, etc. Many students skip this meal in particular and are grateful to find it at school. Thank you so much for your willingness to serve our students in this capacity! Please reach out to any staff member with questions or concerns. We are grateful for the ongoing support of the Grant County community! For more information about Kinwell Academy, please visit
