About this Meal Train page
Reach is a non profit ministry that engages today's incarcerated youth and equip them to become tomorrow's leaders.
Our strategic plan includes programming to reach youth inside the Greenville County Juvenile Detention Center, and to support their growth as the re-enter their community.
We believe everyone live in a certain story that has been created from their circumstances or their environment.
However, we believe that there is a better story one can live in. A story of Redemption, a story of Grace that will enable them to promote change in their community.
We minister to the students in the Detention facility twice a week and feed them. The importance of feeding the students is to build deeper meaningful relationships and intentional rapport with each student.
Our goal is to pair them with a mentor that will walk with them as they transition back into their community.
* Currently, the Juvenile Detention Facility is closed so we are shifting our dinners to the gym at Reconcile Community Church at 1 Alabama Ave on Monday evenings. We are still ministering to the students who have recently been released from the facility, our time and place just looks a little different for now. Our vision and mission with building deep and intentional relationships and pairing students with mentors still remains the same so we still appreciate all of your help in providing meals!
We feed both the students and mentors so plan on 30 each week and we will update you if the amount has changed.
Thank you so much!
