Jason Miller Update
Posted 04/26/2016 by Mindy Oberg
Jason's recovery is going well and his extended family has returned home. The household has returned to being Jason, Kim and their two youngest. I decreased the number of mouths to be feed. Also Jason was released by the trauma physician yesterday; he will continue the follow-up with his other physicians.
Thank you again for your continued support, pray and follow-up.
Jason Miller: Post Surgery Day 5
Posted 04/15/2016 by Mindy Oberg
Jason was able to get settled in a regular room this afternoon. This follows a long night after being transferred to a semi-private room late yesterday. Unfortunately the semi-private room yielded no real rest for Jason. He is hoping for some sleep, peace and quiet tonight. Jason is focused on healing and rest; the family is still requesting no visitors. With this in mind I have removed the visitor request from the calendar. Please respect Jason and his family's request.
He made good progress today with eating; please keep this need in your prayers as Jason adapts to eating through the straw while his mouth is wired closed. Praise God for the private room! Thank you for your continued prayers!
Jason Miller - Family Preferences

I wanted to write and thank you for the outpouring and continued support for Jason, Kim, and their family.
With all of us working together we have been able to arrange lawn care, home cleaning (planning for 2x a month for the next few months), help with transportation to school, meals, visitation, snacks and lunch/dinner for Saturday (4/9/2016) during Jason's surgery. This is just to name a few of the many received blessings during these last 6 days. The many prayers, words and notes of encouragement are, and have been, amazing too.
I had the opportunity to speak with Jason's family this weekend. Here are a few preferences/favorites (FYI):
1. Meals: If at all possible, the family would like to receive the meal in the early afternoon, between 4:00 PM and 4:30 PM. Jason and Kim's teenager children arrive home from school at that time. If this isn't possible, you can contact me.
2. The family enjoys all types of meals. They enjoy Boursin cheese (a french cheese that per Jason's aunt can be purchased in the deli) and hummus. Also, a favorite sweet treat includes talenti gelato; the kid's favorite flavors include Tahiti Vanilla Bean and Sea Salt Caramel. A few favorite main dishes include pork loin or shrimp, and of course, many others.
Again, thank you for serving. Please let me know if you have questions or concerns.
