Update From Jessica...Gratitude!
Posted Dec 14, 2020 by Jessa Friend
Hi Friends, Family and Community,
I wanted to let you know I am home, and healing. Your thoughts, prayers, support, and generosity are overwhelming, and so much appreciated not only from me, but from my family.
The good news, is the cancer on my colon was removed, and my lymph nodes are clear. I am able to eat, but I have to take everything really slow, and I am using this time to relax, rest and be with my family. Honestly, this has been a emotional rollercoaster, but your love and support has gotten me through this time, and I look forward to a day where we will all be able to see each other again. There are still some unknowns about the next steps for my recovery, but I am working with some amazing advocates and doctors to get several opinions on my course of action in the next few weeks.
I know this has been a difficult year for all us, which only makes your support mean all the more. I am optimistic right now, and I want you to know your personal peace of mind, and well being is just as important to me. I hope this holiday season you can find time to love, laugh, rest, and find peace.
With all my love and gratitude,
Jessica Raffo (Quattlander)

I am in so much gratitude to our friends, family, and the larger community of people who have contributed, offered meals, and other assistance during this time. Thank you for helping to ease this burden, and bring light in the darkness.
Jess and her family are so appreciative, and Jess was literally speechless, and overwhelmed by your generosity, and I think it helped her sleep well on Monday knowing she can focus on healing.
Please remember if you offered a meal, to check in with Justine about how to deliver that meal as it gets closer to your date. The family and myself will be back and forth between PR and Petaluma, and can also deliver, and save a trip.
Jess is still recovering in the hospital at this time. She has some amazing advocates, and we will update you as we know more, or about how you help. For now, meditations on her and her families health, are appreciated.
Sending you all blessings to you and yours --- AND BEAR HUGS ---- if we could get close enough to you!
Thank you all sooooo much

Hi everyone this Justine :)
So the last few days have brought a lot of tears...tears of worry, tears of sadness, tears of anger but today’s tears were different. I teared up all day as I, and my family, felt the love pour in from every part of our community.
It came to us through loving words, phone call, and texts. Through donations, nourishing food, and soooo many offers to help. We are all so grateful and feel immense gratitude to be a part of this AMAZING group of family and friends!!
I want to now just say thank you!!! Thank you to all of you whether you donated or lit a candle or had a happy thought or memory about my wonderful sister. All of it helps all of it heals. Thank you from the deepest part of our hearts!!!
As I was writing this my sister just texted me. All she wrote was ‘speechless’ and I think that this is how we all feel. Your love have left the Quattlander-Raffo family speechless....
Love and thanks to all of you.
