ORGANIC IS IMPORTANT whenever possible as pesticides ain't helpin' anyone!
1. ORGANIC VEGETABLE JUICES
Store-bought fresh juice is great but it would be equally helpful to drop off 2 large ziplock bags of washed, peeled, chopped veggies that can go into our juicer (exhausting for Panda to do all that veggie prep day after day).
Best veggies for juicing: Carrot, beet, parsley, fennel, cucumber, garlic, ginger, celery, dandelion, apple (a fruit, I know!). Or surprise her with a new delicious juice recipe! ( just see the "no" list below")
2. VEGGIE ENTREES:
*Legumes are fine. Hummus is awesome (if it has no sugar in it).
*Best veggies for this type of cancer: shiitake mushrooms, celery, broccoli, parsley, dandelion, carrots, onion, garlic (lots!), ginger, mustard greens (other leafy greans are good too), the cruciferous vegetables, and fresh oregano/thyme/rosemary. Turmeric is always a winner.
*Curries are awesome.
*Salads are great as long as you follow the NO rules below (no store-bought dressing.. we can always add dressing ourselves).....
*****Important NOs: ******
*No sugar of any kind! Very important.
*No soy unless fermented like miso or soy sauce.
*No bad oils. only coconut or olive oil please.
*No carbs, dairy, preservatives, additives.
3. MEAT ENTREES:
*wild fish (no tuna)
*free range bison
*free range organic eggs
*Other meats only if organic, hormone free AND humanely slaughtered.
NOTE: She'd prefer no meat at all to typical grocery meat. Pasture to Plate on commercial drive is a good place. If it's out of your budget - no problem! "I'm not eating much anyway, just listening to what my body wants."
4. FOOD FOR ALEX:
He eats average teenage boy food. wheat, dairy, meat, potato. He's picky about veg so it doesn't need to be added, we can cover that. he mostly feeds himself but grocery shopping for him will be hard for a bit. pasta dishes, frozen pizza, shepard's pie, curry, etc. Panda's food restrictions don't apply to Alex.
