We’re so grateful for your help supporting this sweet family with meals! As you plan, please note: You might not be aware but sweet Morgan is managing stage 4 liver cirrhosis and diet plays a critical role in slowing disease progression and managing flare-ups. She benefits from lighter meals that are low in sodium, lower in saturated fats, and high in veggies or lean proteins. Avoiding red meats and heavy cheesy, creamy sauces for Morgan really helps her liver health. The boys (ages 12 and under) eat just about everything except soup — comfort food is always a win. You’re welcome to prepare one family-style meal for all, or pack a lighter "Mom plate" if your dish is on the richer side but Morgan is grateful for all the help so please don't stress. I share this just to help provide extra nourishment for her where we can.
