A little place to call our own

Posted May 28, 2019 by Ethan Tate

Lucy is a trooper and very patient with us we try to figure out parenting. We are thankful for Nana coming to town to help us get out to a wedding and concert last week. This past weekend, we moved into our new house and Lucy got to meet Aunt Meredih and Uncle JP (and Uncle JP got to meet the JM Stock Ham Biscuit in the photo). Just as baby chaos was waning, moving-with-a-baby chaos erupted. Then Chichi (Ingram) arrived to help us unpack. All-in-all, it has gone pretty smoothly, but feeding ourselves has been an afterthought when we have 2 kitchens in 2 different dwellings, neither of which has the ingredients for a full meal. It's been great to try new things that we otherwise don't make for ourselves, too. Thanks for the support... and please stop by if you're ever near the Free Bridge to Pantops. We'd love to hang out even if you don't have food.

So far, so good

Hi all- Between some generous GrubHub gift cards and some delicious enchiladas, we've been doing pretty well in remembering to eat dinner so far. For her part, Lucy [doing her best burrito impression in the photo] has been ravenously hungry since Monday night, a sign that this tiny kid is already going through a growth spurt. We look forward to seeing you and sincerely appreciate the help. Lucy is sleeping a bit better than expected, but we still lose steam in the evening. Having a meal ready to go with minimal effort on our part is a really nice way to end the day and spend time together. Thank you! - Ethan, Tricia, & Lucy (& Margot and Charlie)
