Allergies or Restrictions
Youth come to us with a variety of dietary restrictions. Common restrictions include youth who follow vegetarian (meat-free) diets and youth who follow vegan (meat, dairy, egg, and animal product-free) diets. The entire meal does not need to comply with these diets, but it is ideal to have some items/meal options that are suitable for these diets.

Special Instructions
Please note that meal drop-off timeframes are very flexible. If a meal can be kept refrigerated/frozen and reheated later, it can be dropped off a few days in advance. Non-perishable "Weekly Snacks" can be dropped off at any time and will be used in programs throughout the week. We are happy to work with your schedule to coordinate a drop-off time that suits you! Meal donors are welcome to drop off the food before a program begins, or stay for the duration of the program to volunteer and interact with HALO youth. Meal donors that would like to stay for the program, must first pass a state background check, and complete the HALO Center Volunteer Training on Trauma Informed Care. Please let Alayna Howard know at the email below if you plan to stay, and you will be sent training dates and further information! HALO will have plates, but if cups or forks or other utensils are necessary, we would appreciate you bringing those, as well. E-mail Alayna at alaynahoward@haloworldwide.org with questions or concerns.
