Needless to say Jeff was one of a kind. I had know Jeff for roughly 10 years and called him a friend from day one. He would push me in the gym every day and make fun of me when I didn’t give it my all ( I wouldn’t have had it any other way). His passion for fitness was like no other and he wanted others to have the same mentality. I have learned so many new things about Jeff since his passing and how great of a person he truly was. I will always remember him, especially when I am at the gym. As for Jeff’s family, I pray for you every day during this tragic time. Your son was truly a great friend and I will miss him dearly.

I met Jeff when I was in 5th grade, and I think he was in 3rd. We started working out together in high school. I’d give him a ride to the gym and though if him as a little brother. A few years went by and I was the little brother. When I talked about Jeff in HK, I always introduced him as the strongest guy I know. Many of us thought of him as a super strong guy. But he was more than that. He was actually very funny and intelligent as well. He will be missed by many.

Jeff Breisch taught me fitness first back in 2011. Literally the person I talked to when I came into the gym with a biggest loser flyer. We didn’t know each other on a personal level, but he was still a part of my journey through powerlifting. The impact he made on everyone was so big in such a short amount of time. He will forever be in my thoughts. I will never forget him. And just like he wants “ I’ll just keep lifting heavy!” RIH JEFF we miss you so much already.

Jeff was one of the strongest men I knew both in and out of the gym. I didn’t know Jeff as well as the people in Upstate Barbell Club but I still considered him a friend. When I first started at the gym 4 years ago I was a very different person. I was shy and very self conscious about my body but it was the love and community that I was shown at the gym that made me the man I am today. Jeff played a big part in that by helping me with my bench press and inviting me to compete in Strengthtoberfest. That smell gesture brought me out of my shell and gave me the confidence to keep coming back and working out to this day. He was an inspiration and would probably make a joke about the length of this. Jeff, you helped me a lot and I will always be thankful for what you stood for. Rest in Power.
