Special Instructions
We would like meals to be highly nourishing with lots of vegetables, grass-fed beef, free-range organic chicken, and wild caught seafood. Please leave out dairy, gluten and refined sugars. Think simple tasty meals with an emphasis on nutrient dense ingredients. While homemade with bountiful amounts of love included is our preference...If you are going to pick something up from a restaurant here are some that are in alignment with how the family eats: Paniolo's (bowls and things like that over burritos or tacos), Grylt, Whole Foods (check labels) Down to Earth (check labels and make sure filling enough if not providing animal protein) , Leahi health, and Beet box cafe in moderation. The family is not vegetarian so meat is highly preferred with each meal, but we also want them to have variety and for you to have options in your choices. For DK (child)- she loves tacos from paniolos with chicken, rice, bean, and LOVES guacamole, also healthier versions of ramen like ones you can get from WF are great. Nutrition is vital for Ryan's recovery! You can make separate meals for Ryan and drop them off or make something for the family that would also work for him. For Ryan, bone broth (preferably homemade and super gelatinous) is highly recommended right now. He can have soups and stews that are slightly thicker in consistency (think gravy like but not pudding thick). You can thicken soups or stews with pureed veggies (preferable) or a little organic corn, arrowroot, or tapioca starch.
