Special Instructions
Please sign up to help with groceries, prepared meals, childcare, transportation, house cleaning, or yard work. Sarah will be notified when needs are scheduled via email. Call or email Sarah if you have any questions.
Meal Instructions
There are no food allergies in the family. Please read what others are providing within the same week you will be bringing a meal so that the Smiths do not receive the same meal twice. So please also list what you will be bringing. Please only bring enough food for 10 servings since plenty of food is being brought each day. Pantry items: Please bring healthy snack choices such as fresh fruits and vegetables. They have a lot of packaged cookies and snack cakes at this time.
Ride Instructions
On Mondays, the children need to be taken to the homeschool co-op at Community Bible Church at 397 Bettis Academy Road in Graniteville, SC. Co-op starts at 8:45 am and ends at 3:30 pm. On Tuesdays Faith needs to be taken to her therapy and the younger girls need to be taken to their dance classes in Aiken. Carolina Dance Studio, 55 Captial Drive, Aiken, SC. Children will need to be taken to church on Wednesday nights.
Yard Work Instructions
Any general yard clean up of broken limbs, pine cones and leaves.
Child Care Instructions
Sarah and Josiah have classes at USC-Aiken. Sarah says that there is a need for someone to come supervise the younger children during the day Wednesday-Friday and help them with their homeschool assignments. The older children are independent, but the younger ones will need some help and assistance. Sarah can show what each child needs to do each week.
Communication Instructions
Sarah Smith is notified each time someone signs up to provide for the family. If you have any questions, Sarah's email is listed above. She reads her email at USC-Aiken, so only Mon-Fri.
Service Instructions
There are several repair opportunities at the Smith house. Many are minor that most homeowners have or can do themselves. Contact Sarah or Bruce for details first.
Help Instructions
Sarah says Mondays are a good day to help with housecleaning and laundry as all of the children will be away from the home at their homeschool co-op. Also helpful would be for volunteers to take the children on an outing to the park to give some relief to Sarah and Josiah from childcare and to give them time for their college studies.
