Jeremy has recently been diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer. He has a carcinoid tumor in his lung. On April 28th he will be having surgery to have the lower lobe of his left lung where the tumor is removed. He will be in the hospital for up to a week. The doctor said to expect significant pain for 2 weeks and about 6-8 weeks recovery time. Jeremy has had a lot of health issues over the last 5 years, especially the last 2 including chronic pain, kidney disease, osteoporosis, and uncontrollable blood pressure. They have told us that his tumor releases hormones and that once it has been removed we might see an improvement in his overall health. Please join us in prayer that this surgery is the beginning of his return to health! Thank you to those supporting our family with gifts & meals! ~The White Family UPDATE: Seven lymph nodes were taken out during surgery and one of them tested positive for cancer. Unfortunately, this means the cancer was not contained in the tumor as we had hoped. Jeremy has an appointment to go back to the oncologist on May 27th to discuss next steps.
