Thank You for visiting our meal train for our 2019/2020 After School Programs.
Throughout the school year we run various programs at the Centre. We love to have fresh baking on hand. On Tuesday evenings we run two after school programs for grades 5-8 that include dinner.
Dinners must be purchased or cooked in an approved facility. If you are able to cook dinner for the Centre there are a few options for you to help with the meal train include:
1) Coming to the Centre on a Tuesday to prepare the meal. I am here from 9:30am on. There are also other days during the week that could work. Just call the office to confirm a time with Bonnie or Erin @ (905) 774-6233.
2) Preparing the meal in another approved facility. Plan a morning with some friends to cook! We have a large freezer to keep these meals until the date needed.
3) Buying a pre-made meal from the store or a local restaurant. These are all approved.
Baking is something that you are allowed to do at home to bring in.
Numbers for Cooking and Baking:
Baking for Grades 5-8 – Plan to bake for 70 kids
Grade 5/6 group – Plan for 40 kids (this number may change, but we are prepping for a large group)
Grade 7/8 group – Plan for 30 kids (again this number may change)
Teen Group – Plan for 15 kids
Once you have volunteered for a date, please add a note of what delivery option will work best for you.
Option 1 - Coming in to cook. Please note that Grade 5/6 group eats at 5:00pm, Grade 7/8 group eats at 6:30pm.
Option 2 - Drop off at the Centre at the time needed on the day you are scheduled for. Meal times listed above. For baking, Grade 5/6 is needed by 3:00pm, Grade 7/8 by 6:30pm and Teen Group come between 7-7:30pm.
Option 2 - Contact Erica Hopman @ (905)920-2798 to arrange a different drop off time that works, either at the centre or my home.
For Extra Baking - If you would like to do extra baking or donate other items towards our After School program, please contact Erica to arrange drop off. We have lots of freezer space and lots of other programs that can all use fresh baking! Bake as much as you want on your own or with a group. :)
Thank you for your continued support! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
