Dinners needed for Fall 2022 After-school!

Posted Sep 2, 2022 by Grace Bridger of Éleos Ministry

Hello Meal Providers!! We had such an amazing summer camp this year filled with over 20 middle school students and 20 high school students & a big part of what makes camp special is the lunches brought by our meal providers! I am continually blown away by everyone's generosity during such a busy season, so THANK YOU so much!! We are entering into another exciting semester of After-school starting September 13th (a little later this semester due to a staff retreat - woohoo!) & are in need of FOUR dinners a week! This semester we will have middle school students 2 nights a week & high school students 1 night a week with a field trip night that rotates between groups. Having a sit down, intentional dinner with our students 4 nights a week is integral to what we do, so thank you so much for being a blessing to our ministry! We believe God is at work here in Nicholtown, so thank you for joining us in that through meals! As always, feel free to reach out if you have any questions! -Grace Bridger 864-567-2205

Hello Meal Providers! We are so excited for another FUN semester of After-school! Last semester was so incredibly sweet, and one of the biggest blessings were the meals that YOU brought us each week! I cannot emphasize enough how much of a relief it is to know that we do not have to buy, pick-up, or make dinner each night for after-school, and instead are able to pour all of our time and energy into our middle & high school students! I have updated the dates on our Meal Train for this spring semester, so please sign-up for a slot (or more!) and invite your family, friends, or community group to join you in providing a meal or to sign up for a slot of their own! Dinners needed for Spring 2021 After-school!

Posted Jan 22, 2021 by Grace Bridger of Éleos Ministry

Hello meal providers! We are SO excited to have our After-school program back in action! We will have After-school three nights a week – Middle School on Mondays/Thursdays and High School on Tuesdays. These separated days allow for us to have limited numbers and more age specific activities. Our After-school program includes art lessons, homework help, Bible lessons, dinner, and games. It will also include swim lessons at the Kroc Center on occasion! We are continuing to have Open Gym, however we are not in need of meals for that program this semester, since dinner will be offered at After-school! During Open Gym we play basketball and take time to discuss God, life & other questions that students might be wrestling with. Sharing the hope of the gospel and building lasting relationships with our students is always our main goal! We are in need of three dinners each week for our After-school program! Each night will have around 15 people & will need to be dropped off between 5:30-5:45pm at the Éleos Co-op (1220 D Laurens Rd Greenville, SC 29607). If you need to drop off the meal earlier in the day that is definitely an option, just contact me! Important Note: **If you are providing dinner for a Tuesday night, please include 1 vegetarian option if possible!** We are so thankful for your willingness to serve in this way & as always we couldn't do it without your support!! -Grace

Oven needed for new kitchen space!

Posted Nov 11, 2020 by Grace Bridger of Éleos Ministry

Hello meal providers! We are so thankful for how you have continually provided delicious meals for our students. We are very blessed by your generosity! An exciting announcement is that we now have a new kitchen space where we are excited to cook fun meals and desserts with our students! We have the basic items that a kitchen space would need, but our biggest need is an oven! If you have an oven that you are looking to get rid of, or know of someone who is getting rid of an oven, we would love to take it off of your hands! In addition, if you have any kitchen items that you are looking to get rid of - like a crock-pot, instant pot, blender, etc - we would be happy to take those off of your hands as well! Feel free to contact me with any questions - my cell is 864-567-2205 and my email address is grace@eleosgvl.org. Thank you for your support of what the Lord is doing in the Nicholtown neighborhood! -Grace Bridger Eleos Program Director

Lunches added to Eleos Meal Train

Posted Sep 23, 2020 by Grace Bridger of Éleos Ministry

Hello everyone! I am SO thankful that so many of you have volunteered to bring dinners for our Open Gym this fall, it is such an encouragement to our team! We only have 1 remaining dinner left to be provided – we are blown away by the community's generosity! A new need that we have is 2 lunches per week for our Fall Program. For the month of September, Eleos has been providing 4 lunches per week for students. We have realized how quickly this cost is adding up, so we need help from the community! We desire for the community to provide 2 lunches per week, as we are committed to providing lunch for our students as we have our Fall program Monday - Thursday. Eleos can provide lunch on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so are are asking if the community can provide lunch on Mondays and Thursdays. Lunch will need to be brought to the Eleos Co-op by 12:00pm on Mondays/Thursdays. The meal can be brought by earlier in the day if needed, or the day before (for a Thursday). If you (or anyone else you know) would like to provide a lunch for our Fall Program, please sign-up through our Meal Train! Please call/text/email me if you have any questions. Thank you SO much for your continued support of Eleos Ministry! -Grace Bridger 864-567-2205
