About this Meal Train page
Joseph's House is a small respite home for folks with chronic medical conditions who were previously homeless. A wonderful way to support our community during this time of need donating a dinner, to provide our residents with yummy, varied meals and help our staff. There are a few ways to contribute:
(1) Sign up for a slot on the calendar, make dinner, and bring it to the house.
(2) Sign up for a slot on the calendar and place an order with a local restaurant for delivery on your chosen day.
(3) Send a gift card to firstname.lastname@example.org for a restaurant or a food delivery service (Grubhub, Postmates, etc.).
Some favorites include: Popeye's, Federalist Pig, Nandos, Ledo's Pizza, Yum's, Busboys and Poets, DCity Smokehouse, and Ben's Chili Bowl. Generally speaking, chicken or BBQ are always winners!
We request no pork products please, if possible. Our residents do eat chicken and beef, and we have no current food allergies. Our ovens are currently malfunctioning, so we prefer no frozen meals at this time.
NEW NOTE: While we love any and all home-cooked meals, we ask at this time that large pasta dishes be avoided due to the volume we receive and changing dietary needs of our residents! Please email Kara@josephshouse.org with questions or recommendations for meals.
Thank you for supporting our residents, our staff, and our community, and keeping the Joseph's House spirit alive and well! Email email@example.com with any questions.
