I spent a summer with Roland many years ago in Mexico. We lived together and were pretty much joined at the hip. I’m sure he told some stories of his time in Casas Grandes. Dana I don’t believe I have enough vocabulary to share this pain but I do know one thing for sure that you and the kids are feeling it a million times over and that makes me even more sad as I can’t bring him back to you . I never got a chance to tell him thank you as he always had my back and one of the few people that will tell you as it is, and that for me has been the best gift ever from him. And he always complimented my cooking especially after we come back from a gig it didn’t matter if I could walk straight or not as soon as I started cooking he would start making comments about how good it’s going to be and made you laugh and would care if you mix all kinds of meats and seafood…. Whatever he would eat make you laugh , open another beer , make fun of you …..and the next day ask you sarcastically the name of the dish . Since David called me I have just been rewinding all the moments like it was yesterday…..am sorry truly
