About this Meal Train page
The Albuquerque Fisher House provides a "home away from home," allowing families to be near their hospitalized Veteran or Service member during extended treatments or hospitalization. Up to 16 families can be sharing the home at any given time. After a stressful day in the hospital, it would be a relief four a Fisher House family to find dinner waiting or wake up and have breakfast ready-made. The Fisher House strives to give families a loving, safe environment because we believe that a family's love is the best medicine.
"Dedicated to our greatest national treasure--Our military service men and women and their loved ones." --Zachary Fisher, Founder Fisher House Program
DUE TO COVID-19 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS VOLUNTEERS ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED TO COME TO THE FISHER HOUSE TO MAKE A HOME-COOKED MEAL. Instead, those interested in supporting our families can sponsor a meal. Individuals or groups can sponsor a meal in the following ways:

2. Mail a Restaurant Gift Card to the Fisher House with instructions that it is to be used to purchase a meal for Fisher House families.
1501 San Pedro Dr. SE, Fisher House-Bldg. 85, Albuquerque NM 87108. Be sure to include you (or your group's) return address so that a donation receipt can be mailed back to you.
The Fisher House staff will order a meal from a local restaurant and have it waiting for families when they get back from a long day at the hospital. We will also post a sign in the kitchen letting our families know that you (or your group) sent the meal.
