About this Meal Train
Hi Everyone,
*Update*
Matt has been moved to the rehab floor for physical therapy! He has a corner room and that gives much more space for the family to just sit and enjoy being together. He will be there for the next 3 weeks and they are very proud of what he has done so far!
Thank you for helping and being our support system, as we navigate through our new normal! Below is a little bit of our story and what we have been through in the last week and a half.
Abridged version:
Thursday (October 7), I was jaundiced, they admitted me on Friday and I had a CT, liver ultrasound, an MRI and a GI scope called an ERCP. My liver functions are down, due to two masses blocking the way they put 1 stent in, but wanted 3...the other two wouldn't stay. On the way down they aggravated my pancreas... that gave me pancreatitis. Blah, blah, blah, they eventually planned to discharge me and wait out the pancreatitis, before they will be able to do more. So, yellow and in pain, I was about to be discharged after lunch whennnn...
My phone rang, unknown number, it's Matt telling me he is pinned in his FedEx vehicle (Ford Transit) after crashing into a semi. He spent an hour pinned in the vehicle, was airlifted here to Sanford. (He was about 30 miles out) He had both breaks come through the skin. Broken femur, broken tibia and also a broken sternum.
Really bad breaks, but you probably know, it could be much worse. We're thanking God for sending an angel, in that a first responder was already on scene, after witnessing it.
He's in good spirits (for someone who will not walk for at least 3 months).

Favorite Meals or Restaurants
We have many dinners. If you were up for bringing something easy for breakfasts (especially on the weekends) or even something as simple as sandwich fixings (ham, turkey, provolone, pepperjack, etc.). This would help the kids, when they're looking for something for lunch, or after school snack, etc.
Matt loves his meat and potatoes 😁, KFC, McDonalds, Golden Bowl
Special Instructions
You can go through the back gate and leave the meal on the back deck. Or feel free to message on Facebook to see if we are around or at the hospital. *They have a full kitchen on his new floor!*
