Here is Autumn's amazing story about Fiona:
"In late March or early April we found out that we were expecting our fourth child. We were both excited and couldn't wait to meet them. Early September we found out that our sweet baby was a girl, who we immediately named Fiona Grace. The following day we had an appointment with the high risk doctors in Iowa city. There they told us that our daughter had holoprosencephaly semilobar. They said that she would live anywhere from a few minutes to a few months after her birth. At each of the next appointments her prognosis got worse and they told us that she would likely pass away in utero or during labor. Our sweet daughter was born and to our amazement she is doing so well. After an ultrasound on her brain and an MRI we were told that she doesn't have holoprosencephaly, but a cyst on her brain. She has been fighting to get stronger and is now home. She still has a lot of obstacles to overcome, but she has a much brighter diagnosis. Our sweet girl is a miracle. "
