Special Instructions
We currently have about 40 HOMEBOUND veterans, who we provide meals for. These are dropped off at their home once a week. Some houses have 1 person, other houses 2. We get produce donated from Gallaghers Shop-rite. Pick up is done Tuesday and Friday by UCP. Volunteers and restaurants can use these items to cook. We also get bread and baked goods from Rolling Pin Wednesday and Friday. Please coordinate when to come here to pick up these items to use PLEASE LIMIT PASTA PLEASE NO baked ZITI, NO Penne and NO Mac and cheese. Chicken, meatloaf, ham, egg dishes are much better choices. Please try and make the meals with PROTEIN, as we want our veterans to be well nourished

Favorite Meals or Restaurants
ANYTHING is appreciated. Do not feel you have to make a whole meal...you can make a salad, a side dish, make a soup, etc. PLEASE LIMIT THE PASTA DISHES and NO BREAD or muffins- as we are very lucky to get bread and muffins donated.
Least Favorite Meals
NO BAKED ZITI!!! NO SPAGHETTI. NO BREAD. We have a LOT of pasta donated, so while you can make meatballs....I can whip up the spaghetti to go with it. Please give me 24 hours notice,

Meal Instructions
Please wear gloves and mask when preparing meals. Please cook in one of the certified kitchen we have for your use. Please feel free to cook for anywhere from 10 to 25 Veterans. We have about 40 Veterans BUT they do not all receive on the same days.

We deliver all over Suffolk County and a few Nassau county as well.

Ask me what we need BUT we always need: Fresh fruit & veggies, 'to go' containers, trash bags, bacon, eggs, cheese, dish soap, paper towels, mayonnaise, butter and cream cheese.
