**UPDATE 8/7/20: Robert remains stable in the ICU at Carilion Hospital. Although there is still a substantial amount of uncertainty for what the future holds, it is likely he will transfer out of the ICU within the next two weeks. After which, the focus will turn to rehabilitation and more long-term recovery goals. Regular communication with Melissa, Robert’s wife, continues. Specific emphasis remains on practical needs for the family. They are receiving dinners, and they know people are at the ready to help in other ways once more is known. Robert and Melissa have continually expressed their appreciation for their community. Most importantly, they feel loved and supported. Many thanks to all! **UPDATE 7/29/20: Money donated here that goes beyond the need for food can/will be transferred to the Robillards for other needs. Once we know more about longer term needs, we will likely add different/other ways to offer support. We will share those options asap -- many thanks to everyone for the generosity and love extended to Robert and his family. 7/25/20: If you would like to support the Robillard family with food, you can make a monetary donation through Meal Train that can be used for ordering from restaurants or to get general groceries that can be ordered and delivered. Because of COVID-19, we are not sending meals made by individuals. As we get this up and running, Stephen Belderes and Amy Jackson will coordinate ordering and deliveries, but we will continue to work with Melissa (of course!) to see what is working best for them as their needs evolve. We may need people to sign up for days to help deliver and will add slots for that when we know.
