NWYS Youth Winter Shelter

About this Meal Train

Northwest Youth Services is operating a 35 bed winter shelter for homeless youth for the three coldest months of the year. The shelter will be located at the First Congregational Church of Bellingham and will be open 7 nights a week in order to provide our area’s homeless youth with warm, safe, consistent place to sleep. Along with a roof over their head and a bed to sleep in, we also want to offer a warm meal to all of our nightly shelter guests. We want to provide more than cold bagels, cup o’ noodles, and cans of soup and offer our youth warm, delicious meals that will fill more than just their bellies. But to feed 35 hungry youth each and every night, we need help. To support this goal, we’re reaching out to community members who may want to lend a hand this season. So if you're up for it, pick a day (or a week!) and sign up to provide some meals!
