About this Meal Train page

In May, St. Andrews Outreach adopted a Honduran family who is officially seeking asylum in the US. Because they are officially seeking asylum, they do not receive any help from the government. They reside in Kill Devil Hills and need our help. The family consists of a father and his 8 year old daughter (Nassar and Abigail). They are both learning English. Nassar has a full time job that is weather dependent. Abigail is enrolled in Elementary School. They have been assigned a social worker who helps navigate the school system, make and keep appointments and with parenting. Nassar's only form of transportation is a moped. His only relative in the county is a distant cousin who helped him find a place to live and set up utilities. Nassar is learning to put together healthier meals for Abigail especially since she underwent dental surgery last week. Our support will continue to include a home cooked meal on Sundays. Please go to the link below and sign up to make them a meal. An outreach committee member will take the meal to the family each Sunday after church. If you are an All Saint's church member please email donnaetrivette@gmail.com for delivery instructions.
