Aiming for anti-inflammatory meals from here on out! This is a food strategy Amira's nutritionist gave her: -Whole foods as much as possible (minimal processing) -Organic as much as possible, but don't stress if it's not 100% of the ingredients -Eggs, pasture raised meats, and wild caught seafood -Pasture Raised dairy in moderation (butter, a touch of yogurt, etc.) -Avoid processed carbs like pasta, rice, breads etc. Whole grains as a part of the meal, not the focus, are okay. -Avoid added refined sugars. If sweetener is needed in small amounts, maple syrup, honey, or fruits are best. So what works? *soups and stews *lentils and legumes *meats *veggies *eggs *salads
