PPP respite expansion!
Posted 12/13/2017 by Kate Perch
I am excited to announce that as of yesterday we have a officially moved into a new building!
The Prevention Point respite is now at 2917 Kensington Ave (right across from our main building, formerly Village Thrift). Our new space is beautiful and homey - real beds! new furniture! fully stocked kitchen with lots of storage!
New space also means more people! We are now housing up to 40 people a night.
I invite all of you to come visit us and see our new location. And, of course, if you are able to make a meal we continue to appreciate good home cooking.
Thank you for your continued support of the Prevention Point respite, we couldn't have done this without you!
Prevention Point respite re-opening!!

We are excited to announce that the Point of Refuge respite is re-opening as a year round program! This is all thanks to the success of our work during the last 3 winters - did you know that nearly half of our guests from the 2017 winter respite have moved on to permanent housing? We couldn't have done it without the support of our fabulous volunteers and donors! And now we are reaching out again in hopes that you can continue to support this life-saving work.
If you cannot make a meal that's no problem! We are always looking for donations of brown bag lunches, lunch meat, frozen lasagnas, and other pre-made dinners (especially in these hot summer months when a full hot meal won't always be necessary). Also toiletries, socks, underwear, anything you would like to contribute to the safety and security of our guests.
As always, thank you for your support of all our work at Prevention Point!
