Mutual Ground Meal Train Extended

Posted Apr 23, 2020 by Julie Ford of Mutual Ground

Thank you to EVERYONE who has provided a meal, given financially or donated Grub Hub gift cards to Mutual Ground! Your support has been critical to us at this time and will not be forgotten! Today, Governor Pritzker extended the shelter-in-place order until the end of May. We have extended our open meal dates until end of next month. Mutual Ground still has adults and children in shelter, and we expect to continue to serve these clients. Our 24-hour domestic and sexual violence hotlines are open and being operated by staff. And, we are supporting other clients by offering video counseling sessions. We are also providing toiletries, toys, food and other items directly to our clients in need. In short, we are doing everything possible to serve those needing domestic or sexual violence services under unprecedented circumstances. We could not do what we do without YOU! Thank you for all that you do!

We are SO thankful!

Mutual Ground continues to be awed by the generosity of others at this time. What amazing support we have seen from so many in our community - from individual sponsors, area restaurants, group donors, the faith community, corporate contacts, other nonprofit groups and more! Mutual Ground will not forget these acts of kindness - both big and small - shown to our agency during this uncertain time! Please continue to take care of yourself, your families and your community. Be well! the Mutual Ground staff
