FSSF will not be organizing a regular meal train this fall. Many community groups are bringing out food to our friends experiencing homelessness. FSSF is reevaluating the need for prepared meals and will reach out when a need arises. Thank-you for your continued support.

Arctic Blast - Lunches for Friends

Hello! Seeking donors willing to put together lunches for our friends staying in alternate shelter during the cold spell, either a sack lunch or individually packed microwave meals. FSSF has extended stays for five days because of the brutal cold. Could your family or group help? We are looking for 50 meals on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (must be sack lunch). FSSF Meal Train Cancellation

Dear Friends of the State Street Family Community, Amid the many concerns about the COVID-19 virus, the FSSF Board is discussing ways that we can help keep our friends experiencing homelessness and our volunteers safe and healthy. FSSF has decided to suspend our Meal Train program for the time being, as the handling of fresh foods could lead to possible contamination. We will be moving to distribute only non-perishable snack packs. Donors can assemble no-hunger packs or purchase non-perishable snacks in bulk and we can identify a drop off point. We also have many non-perishable items that can be shipped directly to us on our Amazon wishlist. Thank you for your continued support. We wish you all well.
