you all are truly gifts. there are no words for the gratitude that has been shown, and continues to be shown for my family. spring break is here. as of wednesday afternoon, i am taking my children back to our favorite place, the mexican pacific coast. it’s time for an escape of sorts, but we will be taking some of gisele with us to scatter across the sand and blue waters. that being said, we are leaving right after school wednesday, the 9th, returning on the 21st. i wanted to alert you all so there is no confusion as to where we’ve disappeared to and adjust the meal deliveries if necessary. blessings and peace to everyone! i love each of you! sh

As I’m sure all of you have heard by now, Gisele is now in the presence of our Savior, in a place where there is no more pain and no more tears. The Harris’s are overwhelmed with everyone’s generosity and kindness, and yet, this is the beginning of a long journey for them. Financial donations are a huge way we can help, so if you want to help and are not sure how, that is one way to give. This is an incredible community of people, and I am honored to be a part of it.

i was finally able to get gisele moved to hospice saturday evening. it seemed like such a struggle with mda to stop changing the drugs, so they didn’t have to continually reevaluate. i finally said stop changing the drug. sunday was a very emotional day, as the children were finally able to visit her after not being able, for over a month. the hardest is eminent and not far away. i’ve prepared the children the best i can. i can only hope that by being so upfront and honest that later in life, they will remember when dealing with adversities.

Friends, Gisele is not doing well. The Harris family needs our love and support now like no other time. Please pray for strength and wisdom for Steve and for their kids, Sheriff, Archer, Ransom, and Holland. Steve has also mentioned that play dates for their kids would be super helpful over the holidays and next few weeks, so if you think this is a possibility for your family, please teach out to Steve. There are many who want to help, so even if you can’t transport them back and forth, people are willing, so please reach out. “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. “Psalm 46:1-4

Greetings faithful supporters of the Harris family. As many of you know, Gisele Harris is still battling cancer. They are struggling well, but still struggling. Steve had to share some tough news with his kids earlier this summer, and I know meals would continue to be a huge blessing to them if you are able. Keep praying for the Harris family. God is fighting for them and is near to the broken-hearted.

everyone! we are so very grateful for the tcs community! thank you all for your kindness and prayers and thoughtfulness. not only are the meals a huge help in a way that lets me focus on gisele, and the children, but alleviates the time to prepare, cook, be a husband, a father, a cleaner, and a few other wild hats i may wear during a day! again, thank you!

Now I have tears seeing all of the names of people who have volunteered. Thank you! I added the month of May just in case there are more families you want to forward this to. May God get the glory!
