The CHESS program Combines Housing, Education, and Skills for homeless young men ages 18-24. The students work part-time while taking classes at a local college or trade school. The participants can stay in the program for up to two years while they complete their education, acquire life skills, and prepare to find housing and independence.
The young men in our program love food and they are always hungry. Our program provides cafeteria-style food for these young men and sometimes they cook for each other (but they are not all the best chefs). If you can provide a meal for these men, it will be a much-appreciated treat and it will reduce our overall program costs allowing us to use the funds for other items and services that help these young men succeed. Every little bit helps! Gift Cards can go to Christine@his-oc.org - We are a nonprofit 501c3 organization, so your donations are be tax-deductible.
