Allergies or Restrictions
Gluten Free. (GF-certified is not necessary; cross contamination is not a major concern, as long as there are no gluten ingredients in the food). Pescatarian meals only please. (Vegetarian or Seafood. Eggs are fine, a little bit of dairy is ok - not heavy dairy content). Veggies should be predominantly cooked, as Mel's digestion is sensitive from the chemo. No alliums (onions, garlic, green onions, shallots, leeks, etc) - Mel has a digestive sensitivity, and we want to make sure her digestion is as easy as possible! A teeny bit of well-cooked alliums (such as in broth, curry paste, or a well-cooked sauce) is generally ok, but not more than a wee bit & never raw. Mild (NOT spicy/hot) food is best, as the chemo has made Mel's stomach & digestion a lot more sensitive than usual. No tomatoes (Mel is allergic). You are welcome to reach out if you have any questions!

Special Instructions
If you call when you're outside, Mel will come downstairs to meet you. Depending on how Mel is feeling, she may or may not want to have visitors come in. She'll let you know at the time of drop off. Quick drop-offs are fine any time! Because of the chemotherapy, Mel is now officially immuno-compromised. If you are at high risk of exposure to COVID or other germs (ex - if you are regularly unmasked at work or in public spaces, you have kids at home, etc), please plan for just a brief outdoor visit for the sake of protecting Mel's health. Face masks will be required for anyone entering Mel's apartment. She can provide you with one if you need.
