If someone booked a date and mentioned a gift card in the notes, they still need to purchase and send the gift card to you. Gift card sales are not automatically linked to the Meal Train page calendar.
Find My Gift Card
Gift cards are usually sent to the recipient's email address. We recommend checking your spam and trash folders in case the e-card was filtered there. The email would be from email@example.com
If you're not able to find the gift card in any of your email folders, please reach out to the giver directly. They should have a receipt for the purchase or can research their purchase on the Order tracking page.
Use My Gift Card
If you received the gift card in your email, you'd use it directly with the merchant on the card. For example, if it's a Door Dash gift card, you'd go to the Door Dash website to order delivery from a local restaurant and use the gift card as payment.
You do not need to use the gift card on the date that was booked on the Meal Train calendar. You can use the gift card at any time according to the policies on the card (i.e. expiration date).
